Everyone loves Charizard Pokémon cards. It’s an OG Pokémon that has stayed one of the strongest and coolest across Pokémon cards, the anime, and all other Pokémon games, movies, and shows for the last 25 years.

It’s one of the reason why Charizard’s are consistently one of the most expensive cards across any set they are a part of.

Unfortunately (or fortunately for you fans) though, not every Charizard card is not worth a ton of money. And as a matter of fact, there are quite a few that are pretty darn cheap.

So does your kid or nephew like Charizard? Are you starting a Charizard collection? Do you like cool cheap cards? If any of those are true, this may be the perfect list for you.

Let’s get into it!

#10 – Charizard EX #11 – Flashfire

~$4.44

Coming in at #10 is the Flashfire Charizard released in 2014. Interestingly, there are 6 other different Charizard’s ranging from this up to ~$75 for the most expensive.

For being so cheap, this is a pretty cool one. The holographic pattern isn’t anything too special in this set in general, but I think the art makes up for it.

#9 – Radiant Charizard #20 – Crown Zenith

~$4.26

If you haven’t held a “Radiant” card before, I will say that the holo patterns on them are pretty darn cool.

And if you have someone who likes shiny Pokémon cards and likes Charizard’s? You don’t have to look any further than this.

Despite it being under $5, it’s a pretty cool card to have around.

#8 – Charizard #TG03 – Lost Origin

~$4.21

Coming in at #8, and at still less than $5 on average, I’d say this one is pretty cool for being so cheap. The Lost Origin set has some pretty amazing cards like the Aerodactyl and the HIGHLY sought after Giratina V.

The Charizard though is FAR down the list of the most expensive cards in the set. And despite it being a pretty cool art, it was printed far too much to have any serious value.

Great stocking stuffer or cheap present for the collector in your family!

#7 – Japanese Charizard V #1

~$4.05

Whether you like the Japanese or the English version, the will both still fall under $5. Once again, I’d say the art is pretty cool on this Charizard.

The Japanese version is known as the VMAX Starter Set while the English version is from the Darkness Ablaze set. There is a more expensive Charizard in this set, but it doesn’t hurt to have the cool cheap version as well.

#6 – Charizard #25 – Vivid Voltage

~$2.94

There is a Japanese, a reverse holo, and a “cracked ice” version of this card. Regardless of which one you have, they are all incredibly cheap.

The “cracked ice” holo runs for just shy of $7, but all of the others are right around and under the $3 mark.

And at our first sub $3 card, this Charizard definitely has left something to be desired. Charizard deserved more than this.

#5 – Lance’s Charizard V #SWSH133 – Celebrations

~$2.75

At #5, the Lances Charizard gets back to a V card with a much cooler design. And despite it being pretty easy to get a hold of, it feels like this is a Charizard every kid can be happy about having in a binder.

If you’re a parent looking for a cheap gift for your Pokémon collecting kid, this one is a nice cheap buy.

#4 – Japanese Charizard VSTAR #14 – Star Birth

~$2.70

Now, this card was printed into oblivion. It is/was incredibly easy to pick up as it was part of a box release that had this card available for anyone who bought it.

Despite that, this is an incredibly cool Charizard and maybe the best looking for the dollar on this whole list (in my humble opinion of course).

And, whether you prefer English or Japanese, both can be picked up for typically around or under $3.

#3 – Japanese Charizard #17 – VMAX Climax

~$2.41

Now, the Pokemon VMAX Climax series has a lot of very cool cards. If you find a pack or two of them, I’d definitely recommend picking them up.

Unfortunately for Charizard though, it was left out of the cool club with this one. Despite it being holographic, this Charizard was pretty easy to pull and is very cheap to get a hold of.

#2 – Japanese Charizard V #13

~$2.25

We can call this Charizard, the #7 on this list taken at a different angle. Is it super cheap? You bet. Is it the worst looking one on here? I don’t think so.

If you’re looking for an English version? Fortunately you should be able to pick up one of those for around $4. At least it’s breathing some fire.

#1 – Charizard Reverse Holo #10

~$2.21

Coming in at the #1 cheapest Charizard, the Pokemon Go reverse holo is…. just a little sad.

There are actually a few different versions of this card. One being holographic, another having a “cracked ice” holographic, and of course a Japanese version. All of which are under $7.

For this one though, I don’t really have much to say. It’s art is severely lacking and there really isn’t any redeeming qualities other than the fact that it does 170 damage.

Is this a holo Charizard? Yes. Is it still a Charizard that can be enjoyed by others? I hope so.

If you have this guy laying around in a box somewhere though, be sure to give it a hug. It’s been through enough.
